Super hats so far this weekend.

A two hat day for me (at the moment) - an all around Indy day.

Earlier this morning, cold and raining - Adventurebilt

Then after lunch it changed to a perfect autumn afternoon for my favorite doggie walk route by the canal - Garrison Raiders

Great hats DJH. I'm digging the fall foliage shots. Looks nice and cool. Still mid 80s down here.

Thanks Harv and Splintercellsz.

Nice Indy's David, and great to see the fall colours.

Alan - amazing view behind you. What's the fabric on the cap - quilted cotton?

Michael - lovely VS with beautiful bow work.

Good morning! Greg, I always wore hats but had a much narrower selection in 1975 when my wife made this for me. She made two - the one for my friend had a red star. It is hand quilted white cotton. I wore it all the years I was a runner and it still has life enough to wear when I walk. The setting is Hoyt Lake in our city's Delaware Park which was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted. The highway severing it in two is a later addition. It's a nice 3.5 mile walk from my house, around the lake and back.

This morning I have taken a 'walk-about." For the past couple of hours I have walked the lake shore and local Reserve. My vtg. Stetson Stratoliner (chocolate brown colored felt) has been my hat companion.

Wow, super selection Sunday!
Thanks for the comments on my limpia creek photo. My scrappy cell phone and the sunset made an accidental marriage for a moment there.

On a fancy bus with WiFi right now, en route to crazy horse for a brief orchestra tour.

Eric I like very much the still life Stratoliner + pines, I wish to be your companion in the walk.
David a perfect duo, Durand a fantastic (I like especially the color) VS
Frederick Law Olmsted the "architect of landscape" I like in the pictures of Lee Friedalnder more than live (never see nothinh in person) I know I miss something special [huh]
Alan the cap belong at the "hippie era"? I had one in blu very similar in the same period. More rough fabric with a multicolor brodery in the front.
No photos with this, I lost it somewhere in Swiss.

Great weekend posts with a shout out to Alan and Eric's photo composition (beyond "selfie") as well as their great but diverse lids.

David, as always, getting "use" out of your lids.

Sweet VS Michael.

Jeff, you couldn't have chosen a better lid for your adventure. Nice pixs too, tough lighting conditions your dealing with. Break a leg.

Thanks for the comments folks.

Earlier today I had to head out to bring a boat to winter storage and was attired in a VS Wanderer (granite).

Shortly ago the dogs and I were out for another walk in a VS Stratoliner (dove).

Out for a walk around Flushing Meadows Park and the Unisphere (1964). Wearing a silk + cashmere Stetson newsboy (while waiting for my customs from Barry, Damian and Johnny!)

I'll have another outing later on in something else!

Great hats today, and sometimes more than one per person!

Jeff, I like the shady pic with the Wormser. It conveys a cool, noirish mood.
Eric and others with Stratoliners - I've vowed that my next vintage purchase will be a Stratoliner!
GD, I like the diamond/teardrop crown!
Joao, some more immense brims! Wow!
Daniele, loving the pleated ribbon!
Dale, I want to thank you for your many pics that have shown me how cool brim-up can be. And now there's a whole brotherhood!
