My new Vintage Silhouette fedora arrived yesterday. I'm still as delighted as a kid who got an electric train for Christmas.QUOTE]

Sa-WEET lid, ChiTownScion! We understand that feeling, and feel your joy. An all time favorite fortune cookie told me "sorrow shared is half sorrow; joy shared is double joy." Ain't it the truth!! Although here I think you more than double your joy. EnJOY!!!

I don't post a lot since I only have a handful of hats and in the warmer temps I won't wear anything unless I'll be outside a lot and need the shade. But this morning it was in the low 40s (F) and I took the opportunity to don the ol' Homburg one more time until next Fall.

Some really great looking noggin' covers, especially the Vintage Silhouette fedora. The workmanship on the custom hats is amazing and when the amount of talent and work required to make one is assessed, they are very inexpensive.

Unfortunately I am not in the league to go custom(yet!). I am wearing my only real fedora. It is an Akubra Stylemaster in charcoal gray. Before today I wore a Panama straw as my EDC hat. I thought the fur felt fedora would be a little heavy or too warm. Boy, was I wrong. I think this is a great hat. It certainly catches a lot of looks when I am out and about.

This "hat thing" is addictive!

Good chilly afternoon Gents! Fine looking lids so far today!

ChiTownScion, Great looking VS. You definitely look happy with it!

Miamibruno, Great looking Stephen L. Stetson. You don't like the felt on that one? It looks nice though. I really like the Resistol 15 you were wearing yesterday. The tie's a show stopper too!

JAVIER, the Knox looks great.

Perry, Is that the new Premiere Strat? It looks really nice. I like the color too.

Harv, Hey, I like the stetson straw. That looks nice.

Once again, since it's cool enough, I thought I'd sport my late '40s Imperial Stetson. No sense in keeping it closed up in a box. I may as well enjoy it every now and then....

Have you ever heard about Habock? I can't find any info anywhere!
The size label includes the word 'schwarz' so I guess it's a German hat (in this case sold by a Danish dealer)?

Sorry for my late reply. Fantastic hat! I am not familiar with this make. Does it have a paper label behind the sweatband? If so please post a photo if possible. This hat looks on the older side and also well made (the liner piping is reminiscent of JHS).

Thanks buddy. They're definitely nice. I was giving some thought to trading it off but I don't know now. I haven't seen another quite like it...

I'd hold onto it, those takes on the Gay Prince style are hard to come by, as are felted bands on modern hats.

Plus, it looks good on you!
