Unfortunately the 1950s and earlier city dress styles are fairly hard to find. They will occasionally pop up on US eBay but most of the ones I find come from German or Austrian eBay. I also have some other sources. The most well known German maker is Mayser and for Austria P. & C. Habig Wien. Up to WWII J. Hückel´s Söhne (Austria) and C.G. Wilke (Germany) and were giants. If you check my site you can get a better idea of the makers (see below). I am a big fan of pre WWII Austrian Velour hats. Finding a Dermotta Wien would be very difficult. I have only come across a handful of them and none that are pre WWII.
Have you ever heard about Habock? I can't find any info anywhere! If you check my site you can get a better idea of the makers
Oh - and extra special shout out to JHE888! Western crease Open Roads are about my favorite hat ever. Yours goes so great with your glasses and beard style.Truly a classic look. Cool!!!
