oh these velours!
that's a neat one mystic.

I have worn my clearwater Derby for three days in a row. I must be feeling ornery. they don't call me bowlerman for nothing!

Thanks, Bowlerman....but this one is a fur felt Adams. A thick felt flat top wide ribbon back bow with a missing liner. One of my beater hats I pull out sometimes when it's raining.

Cool photo, Coach.

This morning I was inspired by AnA's Top Ten List, especially by the shot of Gene's Borsalino. Hey I have one of those!

Mystik and Steve, thank you very much for the Cap comments. Much appreciated.

Perry, that OR is a wonderful black beauty! We far rarely wear black hats.

David, yupp, fantastic Borsalino. That Cobolt blue looks great!

Tom, now I can see the VS Wanderer in Action. Great hat!

Coach, nice photo with the dog, but what is with your brim? Looks a bit out of shape...

Justin, good Homburger your Knox. Well worn!!

AnA, very very nice hat. You look very good with him!

Brando, congrats. Nice Akubra with a great bash!

Mystic, my guess it's a Adam Pork Pie what looks really good on you!

Eric, nice hat stand for your VS.

Steve, gorgeous Velour, you wear that hat fantastic! Habig would be happy.

tridentine, super hat this Borsalino and suits you, perfect!

Jared, I see you've taken precautions. well done. Have nice days in Hawaii.

Alan, What for a question! That hat is fantastic because the Vitafelt Stetson looks great on you!

Robert, unknown for me. Sools, never heard that brand. Now it's saved. Fantastic!

Pic isn't from today, but it is the same hat I'm wearing today. Mallory by Stetson. It's old and sun faded, but at least its faded uniformly so you can't really tell unless you move the ribbon. I'm anxiously waiting for my wife to get around to giving me my belated birthday gift - a gray Stylemaster. :)

Nothing particularly special about this hat (a wool Mallory-Stetson I bought about 15 years ago), except that it was what finally led me here. I reshaped it a couple weeks ago from a tired center bash to a telescope crown.

Also, I said earlier this week that I wear a 7 1/2 (possibly even larger), but I went into a western wear store and tried on some "real" hats, and it looks like I actually wear a 7 3/8.

I've done that, but I'm close the cusp for a size 7 1/2 (23 1/4"), and the charts often say to go with the next-bigger size if you're in between. Also, I have experience with several hats (mostly fitted ballcaps, but also the one in the picture, which is a 7 1/2) that are larger. That's why I wanted to actually try on some new nice hats before buying any.
