And think of the money you are saving on shaving soap and blades!

The ribbon on that hat picks up the waistcoat and necktie colours quite well!

By the way - you wear the watch chain nicely. I can't quite bring myself to move my pocketwatch and chain from pants pocket to waistcoat, though I wear both pocketwatch and waistcoat all the time. Perhaps one of these days ...

Thank you so much :D I'm actually pretty excited about my first "proper" shave; picked up the last of the necessaries today including some all-natural pre-shave oil, blades, brush and brush stand. Now I just have to dig out grandpa's old safety razor, polish it up, install the blade and away we go!

I love wearing my chain Albert style; it has such a distinctive old-school swagger to it. Once I finally get my grandfather's pocket watch repaired, I'm going to wear it with this chain:

I'm just going to tweak it a bit to make the fob drop longer, as I believe it was originally configured. Incidentally, I've seen a picture of George Bernard Shaw wearing an identical chain.

You'll never go back! There is a TON of internet that talks about how to clean, polish, and disinfect old safety razors. I know this is :eek:fftopic: but will you be using a soap or a cream?
