There you go. That's what hats are supposed to look like. I love the heck out of that hat. How come so few Europeans seem to have them on?

Tire-Buying Hat
I hadn't planned on it, but I'm glad I was forced into losing the run-flat (aka 'thump-flat') tires off my car today. I have hated them for years, and BMW kept replacing them under warranty, so I've literally toughed-it -out of warranty. But one-nail too many ended the left rear today, so all four will be disposed of; hooray at last. Don't EVER let anyone sell you those things.

Donned a Rand Sporting Clay in 8X smoke for the purchase excursion; but I'll admit that my chocolate lizard Tres Outlaws boots were far more interesting...

There are good number of hat wearers in Bavaria but mostly Trachten styles. You will also see city styles there and else where in Germany. I don't think it is much different than the US. I would say there are more retail hat stores and production hat companies (Mayser, Wegener) per capita.

David, VS Sport, a stunning Hat.

H.Herdick, very nice Traveler. Looks very convenient.

Perry, top Wekony on a Friday. It fits you great.

Eric, very nice Mainstreet. The ribbon looks very interesting.

For me the old wide-brimmed Wegener. On the photo he shines deep blue, normaly black maybe it is a black blue or whatever i don't know. :eusa_doh:

Beautiful spot for a walk!
Nice photo of the river and hat, Dave, and your Bostons look positively ferocious.

Thanks guys. this is our favorite place for taking the dogs - miles of trails around the river and canal.
Perry, I always tell people I sent them to Michael Vick for special training.

She checked in. She doesn't understand what all of the fuss about hats is about, but she'll stop the car in the middle of the street to visit with Bostons.

Great, BR - I'm glad she liked the photo. It always surprises me how many people want to stop and visit with the dogs. There are several Bostons around here, we often bump into others when we are out and about.

Steve says it right. Bavaria and Austria used Hats for Trachten suits. That is their native culture. Hats are very popular there.
In west europe you can see a lot of young mens wearing modern wool trilbys. Thats trend. The other wearing caps.
The little group old Vintage Hat fans are probably here. :D
