Thx Zet; I'm still trying to figure out why the iPhone failed (at arm's length) three times. It may have been the anti-shake software, but i got three black frames.

David, your Mr. Mainstreet is awesome.

Thanks, John. Nice to see it's warm enough for a straw hat in NC.

David, I'm so glad that your really enjoying the Mr. Main Street. Its a fantastic lid and I believe still has been the only one found on the lounge. Lookin' sharp! :eusa_clap

Cheers, Josh! I'm really happy I got this one from you. I'd love to get hold of a grey one like you once posted in an Adam Ad as well. Not holding my breath though!

David, you have a great collection of Hats. Mr. Mainstreet looks really good.

Thank you, Manfred. Mr. Main Street is a hat I always like to wear. I've never seen anything else quite like it.

That is a very sharp lid!

That ribbon and edge treatment really top it off!

Thanks, Rats. The Adam hats didn't always have the finest, softest felt, but they certainly had style!

Wow! I've yet to find a Mainliner in my size. *sigh*

Cheers, Bill. I think you have a relative, Mr. Boulevard, if I remember correctly. Were there other Adam hats named after types of road? I've not seen an Adam Mr. Jersey Turnpike yet!

Main Street, State Street... they are all looking super.

Anybody got the ticket for Easy Street?

Easy Street sounds a great idea, Alan! Nice Barbisio for you earlier in the day.

Eric - the VS is looking good today.

Jeff - that crease looks better for sure. When I first saw that hat, I wondered if your Black Cherry had arrived.

Very nice photo, Ray. The Cumulonimbus formation towering over Tampa certainly adds drama, as does the dappled sunlight on the iconic Bayshore Boulevard balustrade. :eusa_clap

Glad you shared it with us!

Nice shot Alan. When the fog lifts I will try one too. Hopefully in a couple of days.

So how about some Afield shots of the beautiful moon/planets conjunction in the western sky? Would love to see it from your neighborhood. Here is the view from outside my front door last night, with Jupiter, Venus and the crescent moon trying to compete with the streetlights.

conjunction.jpg

There won't be a conjunction this nice again for a couple of decades. Tonight the moon will slide up cozy to Venus. Put your camera on a tripod or hold steady against some sort of support. Shoot while the sky still has color shortly after sunset. Use a low ISO setting to subdue the noise and if you can, adjust the shutter - maybe f4, to keep the nearby hat wearers or scenery in focus as a silhouette. An exposure from 1 - 3 seconds is probably long enough to catch the light and short enough to keep the heavenly bodies from blurring as they set.

Look forward to seeing yours!

Have you seen some of the Italian scooter helmets? They're gorgeous, covered in leather, or graphics with beautiful details. I have seen them in Harley orange and black leather, but can't imagine wearing such a delicate (non-DOT) piece on a Harley.

This early in the season, around here, I always wear my full-face BMW System 5 (Schuberth)--too much salt, grit and crud on the roads to be riding face-fully exposed.

Out and about, thru the woods and by the lake on my dog walk this morning in my Adam Mainstreet.

Temps still in the 40's with a wind off the lake makes having a felt hat on perfect.

Best, Eric -

Have you seen some of the Italian scooter helmets? ....

Nope but have now = thanks for the link.
This one is DOT stamped & around here the road salting is VERY rare if at all. With this mild winter, not even an issue.
I have a full face for riding my 1979 Honda CB750, but the Road King Classic has a shield attached.
I do wear the full face or 3/4 helmet on the Harley when temps are below 50 to keep the ears warm....

David, VS Sport, a stunning Hat.

H.Herdick, very nice Traveler. Looks very convenient.

Perry, top Wekony on a Friday. It fits you great.

Eric, very nice Mainstreet. The ribbon looks very interesting.

For me the old wide-brimmed Wegener. On the photo he shines deep blue, normaly black maybe it is a black blue or whatever i don't know. :eusa_doh:
