nothin special....

Today I'll be wearing my low profile Filson bill cap. Nothing special about it other than it will keep the sun out of my eyes and I won't melt wearing it.

My everyday lid[huh] lol

:eek:fftopic:
Are you in?
I was in Carson City in '03 and Berlin in '05, but skipped Brighton last year.
There's no way I'm missing '09 when it's North to Alaska!

Though I've competed both times, I'm not even in the same league with any of these guys. They're all just amazingly friendly and fun - and it made me a a minor celebrity around Akron. I was interviewed about beards in sports (I don't play anything) when Lebron James was growing his beard. I'm in here:

- which had me autographing my photo in Berlin for adoring fans (ha!).
The same photo was in Details a few years ago with an article about facial hair written by Augusten Burroughs, and is on the photographer's website, alongside such glory as lions and Ron Livingston (click "next image" until you get to 14):

I won't promise you stardom, but I will promise you fun if you come to Alaska.

Fantastic. Actually I am in training now. Some day I will compete. I am a member of the Whisker Club in Bremerton and the Handlebar club in England. My other passion besides fedoras is handlebars mush to the chagrin of my wife. There is a moustache competition at the Kitsap Fair (in Washington) that I will be in and that attracts some of the 'pros' from this area. But some day I will compete for real. Like this place, it seems to attract really nice people too.:D

Royal Stetson. It started to look really nasty because I was messing with the crown too much. I popped it back into open crown, soaked it, and started fresh. This particular hat looks alot better with a looser pinch.

Where did you get those beautiful sunglasses? I'm envious!

Today I wore my Panama Bob "Diamante" with repinched pinch...

Unsolicited comments: "Nice lid!" and "I can see summer is here"... and "You look like a gangster out of the 20s!"... :D

BTW, that last comment was meant to be a compliment

I'm enjoying the board, should have signed up ages ago

Today I wore my green Akubra flat top to take the kids to a museum,
wore the grey Stylemaster to go out to dinner with the family (my son wore his Lancer, a soft grey trilby looks perfecton a 9 year old).
Right now I'm wearing a recently rebashed stockman to see how I like it.

Stetson Sueade Finish

Sharp as ever, D-Man, and I love your dad's Panama.

I was sporting my recently-restored Gray Stetson 3X Suede Finish today. I used a little stiffener on the brim, so it's holds its shape a little better. Overall, the hat is still very soft.

I am with IsabellaPrice . . . . those are some dynamite shades :eusa_clap . They wouldn't happen to be scrips, would they? If so, where can I get pair?lol

You are, as always, a sartorial master . . . and pretty photogenic to boot!
