Unclick the box below the URL line. That seems to work. Here you are... and looking very well I might add!

It appears that the only gun safety rule that is not being violated in this photo is: Never get involved in a land war in Asia.
Beautiful Stylemaster. That's on my wish list. Minus the blood splatter, of course.
If you look closely, it appears the gun is actually pointed to the "victim's" left, and not directly at him. Nicely staged photo IMO. And the first pic I've seen that really makes me take notice of the Stylemaster. Well done.

You too? Seems to be a lot of that going around. Do you see the other questions and answers on this recent difficulty?

It is a slight flaw in the default of the new version. Click to use url, and then uncheck the save file locally or whatever that checkbox just below the url box.

Thanks, all looks good. That Chronomat Evolution is really sweet! The Airwolf is what I mistook for a B-1 (it essentially replaced the B1 and they are very similar in principal). The copilot module is a really cool addition! I've got a couple of Breitlings, a 50th Anniversary Navitimer and a titanium Chrono Avenger (wish I'd picked up the UTC module when they were available).

The reason I asked if you were in Iraq in '05/'06, is that I thought I might have spotted you there (a long shot I know). I was in the IZ working on the new Embassy (civilian contractor), and several times at the Palace/acting Embassy DFAC I spotted USAF Personnel. Being a bit of a watch hound, I always looked at folks wrists to see what they were wearing. I recall seeing a few Breitlings among others on the wrists of a few of the UASF types. I specifically recall one Gentleman in a flight suit with I think an Emergency, but there were others.

Guys, sorry to take this thread towards watches, guess I've just revealed another of my passions/hobbies. I'll now admonish myself to get back on topic and back to hats!
No, don't think that was me, unfortunately. I've spent a majority of the last 12 years overseas, and a lot in and out of Iraq. But this past year was the first time I've really stayed there in a permanent sense.

... Back to our regularly scheduled programming!

Sunday hat cleaning time.

Traveling last night meant I could find momentary respite by tuning in to the Fedora Lounge. Wow you folks got some terrific hats! Totally styling!

I read with interest the recent posts with Lee and Adams hats. It reminded me that I had cleaning some Adams Executives and Lee Cameo's on my To Do List. This morning suffering a bit from travel woes, I tackled cleaning some hats. Two hats got leather treatment late last night prior to a Coleman's White Gas bath early this morning. When the air drying (evaporation) was complete, only took 2 hours, the hats joined the crew for a hard brush, soft brush and steam. I did the bathing by the outdoor fire-pit. My rubber gloves and a stiff horse hair paint brush were the only tools used during the bath. Suprising how much dark particles I filtered out of the gas after bathing the hats. Amazing amount.

Here is a pic of the hats layed out before a lot of the task was under way;

I have to remember to remove my wife's 2 laptops in the bright and black sleeves from the pic. They are very distracting. Aside from this staging problem here are the hats during their cleaning.

In the Adam's thread a lounger had displayed a pic of the variety of colors of the Adam's hats. He stacked them up and I have always remembered that pic as it really helped me see differences. The color changes can be very subtle. I have stacked up a bunch and show them to you this morning. The pics do not show the brown shades or ribbon differences on the brown hats well. One hat is matching and the other has an attractive green tint. My brown hats pics need work. While the pic quality lacks, the goal of showing the color options works for this purpose.

The color pallete from this manufacturer was large. I am shocked when I read their advertisements that speak to over 20 colors. 20 colors - that is so interesting. Can you imagine the retailer restaining themselves from ordering the whole spectrum? That would be an eye catching display. 60 + years later I am proud to give this small sample of colors the opportunity to be worn and shown to the public.

Oh...YES I did wear a few while I was bathing, brushing, and steaming them. I admit I wear hats in the house. For inquiring minds, NO, my desk is not filled with hats during the other days of the week!

Out of curiousity, do you actually submerge the hats in the Coleman's then brush them, or do you just dip the brush and then apply the Coleman's to the hats?
