Very nice. Are there still any Marshall Fields nameplates left, or are they all Macy*s too. The pugaree makes me wonder if anyone has converted neckties for this purpose? (thought bubble> I wear a lot more hats these days than ties.)

Some of the brass name plates on the outside of the State Street Marshall Fields (I will never call it Macys) still say Marshall Fields. Also in the floors in the store there are some brass plates that still say Marshall Fields, but all of the signage that isn't permanent to the historical structure has all been changed to "Macys."
I can go even further. Being from Minneapolis, I would say "Dayton's" but never say "Marshall Fields," which took them over. Dayton's was a local Nordstrom-quality department store when I was growing up there. I suppose they're all Macy's now, but I've lost interest.
Al; Thanks for taking a look. The spring rain fell hard and I wondered about wearing a hat out. I am a hat wearer and not a collector. My hats need to be able to survive gentle wearing. The Whippet came out of the occasional drops of the very end of the rain this morning fairing well.
Looks good, Josh. You look ready for a jaunt to the Carribbean.
Josh; It looks sharp reguardless of price. Styling, clean lines make sit a winner. I have read many of your posts and I need to comment that your re-working of the hats on your hat rack is impressive. I have a couple of pics saved as a model to work one of my hats. Your efforts are appreciated on my desktop.
Styling without reguard to price, Eric -
David, just a great photo!
Nice picture, Raider, is that Peter Brothers Raiders the one in your avatar?
Looks great, Eric
