Scott -- I think it's amazing that you have been able to actually find these old Stetsons, and in fantastic shape, no less! I've said it before, I'll say it again -- you are one of the few people who can pull off this look, and make these vintage treasures look right at home in a contemporary setting. Well done! :eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap

Thanks Jimmy. I know we pat each other on the back a lot here, but as we all know, people who wear old fedoras are a miniscule minority, and this is not only where we get our feedback, but also the self-confidence to walk out in public wearing an old hat. I wore this hat all day today - at coffee shops, on walks along Puget Sound - and before I discovered this forum, felt funny even wearing a traditional fedora in public, much less something from the '20s. So thanks everyone - we're providing a great service to one another...and a bit of nostalgia and fun for those we come in contact with 'out there'.

Thanks Rusty. Today did seem to be a great hat pic day - also liked Gene's Vita Felt Medalist etc. hat, and Mario's.

That is certainly a great hat. I've said this before, but all those great photos you have posted in that style of hat have had a huge influence on my hat preferences.

Having said that, here's something completely different: an early Stetsonian with a bound-brim. Bottom pic shows the hat alongside a 1920 Stetson brochure featuring the Stetsonian:

Man you are the epitome of hat wearing.

We went to see Ladysmith Black Mambazo for free! at Finney Chapel in Oberlin this evening. The same seats would be $30 tomorrow in Akron, which made the show feel even better. As a topper, I met my LL Bean sweater twin, and managed to be talking to his wife when mine snapped the photo. I don't know what it is, but I've been on a streak of luck and happy coincidences the last week or so.

To keep it semi-relevant, I was wearing the trinity again - but not in the chapel. He're a repeat from the other day, with me looking a bit long in the tooth.

That is funny stuff right there. lol You make me want to go get a sweater twin now.

I was so hoping he had a fedora, so that we could really get a great shot. As he left, he put on his hunting-type cap with the knit ear/neck covering and told me that he and his wife were bicycle riders, who would be riding home.
It's under 30 degrees and icy in Oberlin, and a guy more than twice my age really made me feel like a wuss. I'm his twin in sweater only. :)
