Someone mentioned shipping to NYC.
They're having some issues at the moment. I sold a motorcycle seat and it went from PA to Jersey City to somewhere unknown and sat for 3 weeks before it finally made it to CT.
Expect major delays, as they say.

I had ordered a shirt from a guy in England, which he mailed to me on April 1. It just arrived yesterday, apparently having been sitting in NY for a month.

I just finalized my deal with Mikael at Hufvud. Nice fellow to work with, always responding to emails in no time at all. I decided to go all the way this time and ordered the 100x Beaver. He's doing a Stratoliner for me in the dark moss with a Sahara ribbon and brim binding. Stoked is not the word, but it'll take a few months: oh well, I'm not going anywhere and it's nice to have something like this to look forward to.

I can believe it sitting in NYC for a bit.
I ordered an ancient Stetson from Greece a few weeks back and it's still somewhere in Greece waiting to be shipped.
These aren't normal times and my hat is off (to coin a phrase) to the people out there doing the work.
I've waited 60 years for that hat so I guess I can stand to wait a bit longer.

I’m a sucker for a cheap basket case. I keep thinking they’re all diamonds in the rough, but sometimes they’re just lumps of coal. I hope this is more the former and not the latter; a naphtha bath and a good scrubbing is called for. Maybe a match before the naphtha evaporates?

Just placed an order for a Fawn Akubra Banjo Patterson from Hats Direct

They suggested using courier service shipping because standard shipping to the US is now 1-2 months as a result of Covid 19 delays.

I received word this one made a pit stop in Minnesota due to a mix up in packaging... hopefully that guy won’t use my hat for the purpose intended of the item he ordered.....

I can’t promise I won’t try to use his item as a hat (or at least helmet) though.
