I’ll cut the brim down to 2.0 inches put in a cotton sweatband, and maybe take the magic markers to it to make me my own Stratoflage.

I sent VS an email about the possibility of sizing it up to 7 5/8 long oval without damaging the hat (sweatband). This is not a re-size I want to attempt myself. I’ll wait to hear back from Art. If he doesn’t have LOTS of confidence that it can be done safely I’m not sure what I’ll do with it. I kind of want to keep it just as an exemplar hat, but it’s also a fair bit of my hat budget. I’ll shoot you a PM if Art can’t do his magic and I decide to not keep it.

No. It is not to my taste. For what it is worth, and I know I am in the minority with this opinion, I am not a big fan of his architecture. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and one of his noted buildings is the Marin County Civic Center. I have professional friends who worked in the building and they always said it leaked like a sieve and was infested with vermin.
