Some guys have all the luck. Considering I have never seen a hat that didn't look good on you, I'm guessing this could easily become another warm weather favorite.

Just heard from Michael at Gannon Hat Company. He has started work on a hat like this for me.

Not sure how long it will take.

Waiting on my new straw from Nathaniels Hats in Georgetown TX. I don't have an exact photo but it is similar to this one only shaped more like a fedora rather than a western curl. He has the blanks in stock and shapes them however you like. It will have Nates custom "lizard head" bash just like the one in this photo. What luck to find the only Native American Master Hatter living 15 minutes from my home. Don't understand the closing of auctions early.

The only thing I can figure is that this auction was scheduled to close 2 days after all his other auctions. There was no BIN; there was 1 opening bid. Went to check on it the morning after the others closed & it was closed too. So he either sold it for opening bid or pulled it back for some other reason. Who knows?
