I'm pretty sure Resistol made their felts or at least most of their felt line, & Atwood did & still does make their straws.
That sounds reasonable since Resistol had a fur cutting and felting operation in house. Many other manufacturers sourced their fur from outside suppliers. I have an Atwood palm straw but didn't know they supplied Resistol. Thanks for that info, maybe I won't be ashamed to wear the Atwood.

Somehow American Hat Co & Texas Hat Co are/were connected & Atwood supplies straws to both of them.

Getting back to Resistol, I have two Worth - Walden's & I'm sure the bodies were ordered from & made up by Resistol.
It certainly makes since, if there was a fur cutting operation in Texas, why would they source from anywhere else. These discussions are what makes this so interesting.

So... The wait continues.

I ordered my Campdraft Deluxe in Moonstone on February 7 and the expected time was four weeks. Just checked with the fine folks I i ordered from and it looks like now it's arrival is pushed back to April.

Looking forward to finally getting it! In the mean time I'm happy with what I've got.

Being happy with what you have is a lesson many of us never learn.

Looking forward to seeing your Campdraft.

Not a fan of hat jewelry. If this is really a high quality jeweled Sterling silver buckle like it's supposed to be I wonder if a jeweler can cap a Sterling silver or gold ring with it?

I agree on the hat jewelry front. Nice looking hat though. That small amount of silver probably isn’t worth much, and I doubt it’s solid gold (we can hope).

Oh I wasn’t thinking it was worth anything & trying to sell it to a jeweler. I have a couple of gold rings that were my dad’s, one with some diamonds, & one gold ring that was my grandpa’s. I’ve been trying to think of something to do with them for a
Long time. I used to have a gold horseshoe ring that I wore all the time but lost it one time when my hands were cold. Was just wondering if this horseshoe buckle could be used in a ring.

That would be very cool. If it’s sterling it could have a hallmark.
