I couldn’t find the What Hat is Waiting For You Today thread, so this’ll have to do. I head off to Australia today with 65 screaming 6th graders on our first overseas school trip for five years. Waiting for me at the hotel will be an Akubra Blue Mountains in bluegrass green.

I missed out on a long-hair Stetson western in my size that was local to me (as I had to deal with an issue with the dogs at the time of the auction end).

To console myself I tossed out a bid and won this. Not long-haired or my size, but it is a Stetson — in a color I’ve not often seen with this liner.

This is a hat I am waiting on for summer. This is not a hat for re-sell.
I did a search for a summer straw with a 2 3/8s brim [that has become my favorite width] and ran across this one made of hemp
So after further search I placed my order.
Imagine my surprise when I recieved a shipping update.
My hat shipped from...are you ready!!!

Ja, Stefan, that cord is pretty weird. Not quite sure why it's there. Must make it difficult to wear.

Hopefully, I'll be more the wiser once I pick it up on Tuesday.

It appears that there are several holes along the top of the sweatband. Was this string threaded through those to allow some tightening of the sweat to adjust the size?
