Thanks. It’s always exhausting, but also lots of fun. The hat waiting for me will be an added bonus.Good luck!!!

I'm usually impressed with just chocolate on the pillow at hotels I stay atI couldn’t find the What Hat is Waiting For You Today thread, so this’ll have to do. I head off to Australia today with 65 screaming 6th graders on our first overseas school trip for five years. Waiting for me at the hotel will be an Akubra Blue Mountains in bluegrass green.

I missed out on a long-hair Stetson western in my size that was local to me (as I had to deal with an issue with the dogs at the time of the auction end).
To console myself I tossed out a bid and won this. Not long-haired or my size, but it is a Stetson — in a color I’ve not often seen with this liner.

That is a cool color, Bob.
I prefer these non-Open Road 7XCB hats.

^^^^^ The Morrison “Famous Fifteen” is the Homburg. 3” brim, 5-1/2” crown, size 7-3/8.

Good to see you've found another one, Steve. Interesting already; I'm guessing that the cord was maybe to prevent it from dropping too low.Historically speaking, a very interesting Topper and box. Especially the latter regarding Danish hatters.
Looking forward to revealing more once I pick it up next week.

Ja, Stefan, that cord is pretty weird. Not quite sure why it's there. Must make it difficult to wear.Good to see you've found another one, Steve. Interesting already; I'm guessing that the cord was maybe to prevent it from dropping too low.

Hopefully, I'll be more the wiser once I pick it up on Tuesday.
Could be, Bob. Good point. Thanks for pointing that out.Very cool find Steve!
It appears that there are several holes along the top of the sweatband. Was this string threaded through those to allow some tightening of the sweat to adjust the size?
