Anxiously awaiting a 4 1/2 brim beaver silver belly from Mike @ Northwest.
The felt of those BR's is really nice.Thanks to Rick Blaine BR"20" SAN ANTONIO
BR means Byer-Rolnick, the founders of Resistol (or the original factory that becomes Resistol).Joao;
Do you know what the BR designation means, perhaps someone's ranch?
I know you are the Resistol guru
This puzzles me
True. I have 2x BR "20" both market at $20. Sadly with narrow brim of 3".I recall reading the number after the BR was the original price - just as Stetson used to do.
So a BR20 would be a $20 hat - a BR35 western I once had was $35.
So it is an indication of quality and shows where that hat was in the model line up.
And it looks as if my order from Melegari Cappelleria fell through.
Therefore called Bencraft and ordered the Navy blue in 3-1/8 brim

Well, I received my hat yesterday afternoon, but I'm still waiting. I ordered, and paid for, the regular/Imperial Quality hat, but they sent me a deluxe/Heritage Quality hat. I've notified them of the discrepancy by e-mail, but the time difference means I probably won't get a response until this evening at the earliest. I'm guessing that after all is said and done, since I have the hat in-hand I'll end up paying the price difference just to be done with it, but for now I'm waiting for their reply. [huh]As of two hours ago, I'm waiting for a Moonstone Fed IV.
