The UPS site tells me my Northwest custom should be delivered Monday, 1/16. One problem: My office is closed that day. Maybe I should put a sign on the outer door addressed to the UPS driver to please attempt delivery on Tuesday?

(Mike dropped the hat off at UPS on Friday. On Monday it supposedly moved to Portland, OR. The next "event" is not until Friday??? Are they driving it across the country in a Yugo or something?)

Normally, UPS holds until offices are open on holidays like that.

Here is the UPS holiday schedule. Sounds like they deliver Monday, but recognize that not everybody is open.

I got the email from Mike at NW Hats today. The "Olicott" modified Hommie is ready. He sent some tantilizing images. Can't wait to get down to Eugene (hopefully Saturday) with my wife to pick it up. This is my 60th birthday present, a week early.

I'm thinking some substantial side dents, and a deeper crease. I'm on the hunt for a crease clip, hopefully BSHW, but that look will be for only special historical occasions.

A hatter told me that dark colors suits me better. So dark colours is it. 50% cotton and 50 % yute.

Sounds like a single malt Scotch day to me! Hope you will feel better. The cap is super. Love the ear flaps. Your are top shelf, being able to step out no matter what and share a picture of yourself wearing your cap! Bless you!

Wow what a great look! The contrast darker ribbon really works, makes that hat a winner!

Our friend Daniele has found me a nice Homburg from Italy, my native homeland. A NOS Barbisio rat-gondin (Nutria) in a rich grey. It will be on it's long trek from Europe to the Pacific Northwest soon. I'm totally pumped!! I'm thinking of changing the center crease to something along the lines of a Mullet'burg with a diamond crease. Will have to see if the hat will allow it!

I'm already disappointed even before receiving the hat. Turns out the "Famous Fifteen" is not actually famous at all!

It would make finding another one just like it that much harder...and it has the campaign style bow which you don't see much of that's original to that style of hat. I'd say it was a good find.

Not exactly waiting, but today early in the morning i would going to buy a funyi hat at Maidana. The funyi it´s a kind of "porteño" "from buenos Aires" of fedora. associated with tango. ive already had a wool felt funyi hat bought from a custom vendor. But i want a fur felt funyi, these doesn't means that i would stop wearing my prior funyi hat or any hat i had, but i can't sleep tonight, and going to shoping a hat keeps me awake all the day long.
ive discovered that with hats im like a woman with shoes. its like caffeine, but i don't drink coffee because my dream disorder.
The funyi has a narrow brim than the fedora.

Although it will be nice to get a full sunshine shot of this beauty, I kinda like how this light highlights the creases and shadows. Does it go with that jacket as well? Impressive!
