YIKES!!!! You haven't seen it?

One of Robert Redfords greatest roles and as I said, one of the great all time baseball movies. I'd be curious to hear your comments after you watch it.

I will rent it tommorow.

Ouch. You don't like baseball movies? Personally I liked this every bit as much as Field of Dreams. You'll love Redfords hat and leather jacket... Just a good period peace.:cool2:

Be sure to pop some popcorn. Wilfred Brimley as the grumpy team manager, LOTS of big stars in this one, and they play their parts perfectly. GREAT movie. Glad to hear you've never seen it, actually. It's one you're going to enjoy, as it actually captures the feeling of the old 30's and 40's movies in writing and delivery, and yet is set IN the 1930's, so you get double the pleasure. Can you tell I really like this movie?? (grins) Regards. Michaelson

Yep, yep.... I love baseball movies and have seen probably every one out there. This really is a keeper. As a side note, Robert Redford really looks good swinging the bat. He was a pretty good ball player in his younger days, or so I'm told.

Well boys, it seems MK enjoyed the movie as we all thought he would. He did post a nice review in The Observation Bar. Check it out. It's well written and from my point of view meaningful as it comes from someone who doesn't care too much for the game of baseball.

Doesn't appear that it is going to happen right now. MK was mulling it over and it's been a few weeks now without an answer. I'm taking that to mean probably not. There is someone on the replica props forum that is making some, not as nice as MKs, but if you need one.....

Ok, I know you asked about non Indy props, BUT:

how about a real good (and I know it'd turn out real good) Nurhache? I don't know how to spell that, but you know what I mean... that little guy from ToD...

What do you think MK? There's been plenty of them on ebay, but... well, you've seen their idols.

Regards,

Marc

Don't assuming my long-time-coming answer will be a "no" answer. Also don't take this post as a yes answer. I am very busy with more important things at the moment, but I will make a decision soon.

I am going camping in Death Valley next weekend with a several of the LA tribe. I will be a good time to discuss it with them.

As for these other idols....it is hard to tell for these low rez oics but the plating appears to be very nice. It is too bad that all that work and expense was done on idols with mouths with turn downed corners.

Well, that's heartening. I'll keep my fingers crossed then. I sure wish more of you guys lived up in the north end of the state.

LOL... I hope not, or I'm living here on borrowed time! It's a small town to the east of San Francisco where I was born and raised.

It's near: Walnut Creek, Concord, Pleasant Hill, Dublin, Pleasanton, San Ramon & Alamo.

I have many fond memories of Danville. My grandparents lived up at the top of Mt. Aire and I spent quite a bit of time there as a young boy. We'd watch the fireworks over Mt Diablo every 4th of July. We lived in Pleasant Hill. Man, it has changed a lot in 30 years!

I'm sure it has. I've lived in Danville for 20 years, having grown up in San Francisco. For a city with all sorts of growth limitations and such, it really has changed over the years. But then again, Pleasant Hill isn't what it used to be either!!!
