Alright, I'll bite.

I'm a Customs and Immigration officer. Not my job title, but that's essentially what I do. It's a job that is now a world apart from what it was in the golden era, and even less than a decade ago.

I was also a reserve infantry soldier for 8 years.

I'm an on site equipment mechanic.

After that I have a small horse farm, in addition to a welding/ fabrication hobby that occasionally makes a little money.

Oh yeah, I forgot, right now I am a ringer for Church choirs. They hire me to give a little oomph to the Baritone section for holidays.

I'm an ARP Warden - protecting Guildford from the Luftwaffe

Well, sort of; I do the ARP side of "Home Front Days" at a old Victorian Fort. School children come in and learn about the Second World War whilst getting wet and muddy

Ruddy 'ooligans!!

I spent nine or is it ten years as a commercial photographer. Then when 911 happened, my boss felt that shooting trinkets and cleaning the studio was more important than an attack on our country. And though he eventually decided to light up a bowl and go watch the footage, he first had to comment, "If this is so important to you, maybe you should go be a cop or something. So I took all the experience, profit and clients that I had earned and began a career in law enforcement. I also continued with my photography only on MY terms.

Needless to say instead of being the typical jag cop, I knew what it was like to come from the wrong side of the tracks. And though I'm only human and it's easy to become jaded, I did my best to treat everyone with courtesy and respect.

Last year I got into a knock down-drag out with a thug who had about fifty pounds on me and was about twenty years younger. Let's just say that he was in the prime of his life and all I had going for me was experience and tenacity.

Long story short I ended up with a chipped tooth, a severe concussion (Punch drunk and disorientation, kinda like boxers that take one to many in the melon) and constant, crazy, insane migraines through out the day.

So I've been on medical leave and busting my hump with rehab for over a year. And though some say I should just take the disability, I still have some fight in me and if nothing else I can't give up and let the bad guy win. And though there is a chance I might not make it back, it won't be from lack of trying.

Wow that was much more than I thought it was going to be.

Sorry for the novel...

PS the boss that said I should go be a cop.... I'm told he never entered the city I worked in, out of fear I would pull him over, when actually I wasn't even working that area. Can you say karma or what?

Thirty years in the chemical, and specifically coatings, industry. Currently a Technical Director overseeing R&D, product develpment, quality control, and environmental compliance for a coatings manufacturer. Almost as boring as it sounds!

I did almost 25 years in Law Enforcement and took retirement at 50 in 2006. I now work as a Millwork Specialist at Home Depot. Great job with much less stress. I'm 56 now and enjoy going to work every day!

My career has changed over the years, started out heading into the legal profession, and changed to business. I have owned since 1997 a large commercial building company, and in 2010 added to that with a manufacturing plant.

Due to current physical injuries that I have had since the Christmas holidays, I really do very little other than watch my bank accounts and delegate directions for operational issues of my business interests.

I arm wrestle defense lawyers into pleading their clients guilty to crimes their clients didn’t commit. In less than three years, I plan to start arm wrestling prosecutors into dismissing their cases charged against my guilty clients.
