What Did You Drink Last Night?

Wish I could've shared a few of those with you!

I enjoyed a couple of PBRs around the house while fixing a flat tire on my daughter's bike and warming up some supper.

Having a beer, cocktail or glass of wine while prepping dinner is the best - especially since it is, usually, the end of the work day and my first drink of the day, it is relaxing in a way that all-but eliminates the mild drudgery of prep.

Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA. A very good IPA. I haven't tried the 60 Minute yet but I will. Dogfish Head also has a 120 Minute IPA but it's not currently available where I'm drinking, so maybe another time for it. I'm impressed with the 90.
The 120 needs to cellar for a couple years in my opinion. Cloying sweetness dominates even with huge amounts of hops. Like Thomas Hardys ale it needs time. The 60 and 90 are very drinkable indeed and even more so at the brewery.

From Wikipedia: Although associated with St. Patrick's Day in the US as one of its two ingredients is Guinness, do not order a Black and Tan in Ireland. Black and Tans is the nickname given to the British paramilitary force, largely made up of English WWI veterans, formed to suppress the Irish Independence movement in 1920 and 1921.
Half & Half is the safest way to order.

I found one bottle of the 120 at the grocery store but I didn't buy it. If it shows up on tap somewhere I'll try it then. I like both the 60 & 90 but give the crown to the 90.

I'm looking avidly for a 120, but it isn't really legal to import to Alabama. :(

I assume you're talking about the Dogfish Head 120 IPA? It doesn't seem to be that common yet where I live. I haven't found it on tap & have only found the one single bottle at a grocery, so I have yet to try it. The 60 & the 90 is now readily available here & quite good.

Last night was Friday night so it was Knob Creek Single Barrel 120 for me. Good stuff!

I am referencing dogfish's 120 ipa. I really like all their stuff I've tried. The Midas touch may have broken top 10, and the 60 was wonderful. Shame Alabama won't allow high abv beer....

A couple of Modelos on tap and a few Bud Lights on tap at another joint. I have had more Bud Light these past couple of months than I have had over the past twenty years. I would rather drink a cheap beer on tap than a Lagunitas or Sierra Nevada.
:D
