The Carlsberg Gamle (old) lager beer always have been my favourite brew, and still is. Lager beer always seem to have been the working man`s preferred brew here.
I do not know how wide spread this brand is worldwide?

Not quite last night, but last Thursday.
Last week was Seattle Beer Week, a 10-day-long series of events. Thursday was a sour beer festival at Brouwers (a local, high-end beer bar). They had something on the order of 30 sour beers on tap.
Spent about three very enjoyable hours there:

Cantillon St. Lamvinus

Bockor Cuvee de Jacobins Rouge. (the Bockor reminded me of what Duchess du Borgonne wishes it tasted like!)

They were tapping two special kegs from Firestone Walker. The lambic quickly sold out, but I was able to get their Lil Opel.
The explanation/description provided by the FirestoneWalker guy was that
the Lil Opel was an aged (2 year? can't remember) saison with brett,
blended with a younger saison.
My feeling is that the Lil Opel was not ready for release, as it was bland and a bit sweet. I like saison's, just not this one.

Also had the Cantillon Vignerone (lambic with muscat grapes). This one actually tasted like a really good saison! The people I was with (who had had it before from a bottle) thought that this cask version tasted completely different from the bottle version.

BFM Abbaye Bon Chien - smooth and balanced, but the 11% alcohol did come through on the finish.

Commons Emilles (from Oregon) Nice sour beer with an interesting dried orange-peel finish.

Double Mountain Rainier Kriek (also from Oregon) Nice tang on the finish. Didn't really notice the 9.8% alcohol.

Overall, a well-spent afternoon.

Woodchuck Hard Cider. Not a bad, lighter beverage for the warmer days...

Trying Amber Woodchuck Hard Cider for the first time tonight; it's not as good as Angry Orchard, but better than Redd's.
