Champagne with Creme de Cassis?

Not my style, but it wasn't my home. I'll take it!
A Royal Kir.

I just got my bottle of Creme Yvette delivered to my door. Soon it will be making my Aviations, and with champagne (as above) it will make a Stratosphere, or so the bottle says.;)

The Glenlivet 15 Year Old French Cask Aged Single Malt Scotch Whisky.

Easily the smoothest, most perfect liquor I've ever had, especially for the price. No burning at all, just a smooth warming sensation all the way down, then it extends into your extremities. Floral, a bit spiced, mellow, and yet not lacking at all in the terms of character and strength. Very aromatically pleasing.

I liked it so much, that I just kept on filling my tumbler with scotch and water. Next thing I know it's 3AM and half of the bottle is gone.

Accidentally pulled a Don Draper. Sipping on my Glenlivet while lighting a Lucky Strike with my brass Zippo. I swear it was accidental.

The standard 12 year old Glenlivet is nothing to be scoffed at either, both very substantial scotches. They're famous for a reason.

Sipping on a scotch and water tonight purely to accompany my delicious meat and potatoes stew.

Cheers, lads!

Nothing. Absolutely nothing. And I'm in a foul mood because of it. :rage:

Same here. Stone cold Sober. And when I woke up without a headache I figured "Yup. It's all downhill from here."

Tonight I'll have something in the shaker once I put my shorty (and perhaps my wife) to bed.

I believe sober is good sometimes, we don't deserve alchol most days. Today is different though. I've almost killed this six pack of American "Bud light Lime". This is good for some reason.

I have to be up at five tommorow.... the American beer is done, but now this German beer Wernesgruner in a can is horrible. The after taste is blasphemous.

Last night, I had Guinness Draught from a draught can poured into a new Guinness glass I just got. I have to say that it was rather good. It tasted just like it does from the tap, nice and smooth. Much better than the bottled draught, which is just terrible in my opinion.

Went to a very cool small bar here in Perth called The Stanley. Apart from Gin, which is my favourite, I also love a good Brandy and Dry.

Had a few glasses of Azteca de Oro with Dry. Hadn't tried that one before. I like it's mellow, vanilla-ish taste. Yum! After that I had a G&T with Magellan Gin...which, unlike Bombay, is actually blue from the Iris flowers they use during distilling. It was really nice with mix of floral and spicy.

Hi

Two Buds and a small can of spicy V8 in a large ceramic German pewter covered stein. I added too much of the oriental hot sauce though. I mowed, I chopped the broken limb off the tree and it's all chopped up nicely and waiting for the trash guys.

Aviations are sooo good! That is weird! I just said that I 'wanted an Aviation' on my FB status! Huzzah!!

Ah yes, the Aviation has become a favorite lately. The availability of Creme de Violette has made this a much better choice now. Being able to pull lemons right off the tree and get them freshly squeezed into the drink helps too. I don't use much lemon though.
This also has to be mixed with real Aviation gin. It has a taste all its own and lends something to the drink that no other gin does.:D
