Yesterday I had a 10 year old Bual Madeira after lunch, Brooklyn Summer Ale with dinner, and some El Dorado 12 before bed. Now that's living!

Not to pick nits, but shouldn't it be "eschewing"? Unless askewing means to turn a bottle on its side to pour? (Bear in mind I'm from the northern hemisphere and there's so much I don't know about what goes on Down Under)

Out of town for the Memorial Day weekend, cobbled together a gin and tonic for Friday and again on Saturday; Saturday afternoon went to a beer tasting mini-fest, and liked the lighter stuff most, as opposed to beer that tastes like coffee.
