A couple of pints and I'm happy as a pig in muck. Didn't realize - it's 7.1% abv...

I stopped in at my favorite saloon to try some Tin Cup Whiskey distilled in Colorado. Since it is on sale this wk & since I do like Strannahan's Colorado whiskey I was considering putting Tin Cup on my shopping list.

Like Strannahan's, Tin Cup Whiskey is a blend of bourbon & rye. I found it to have a heavy, spicy rye finish. I didn't care for that much spice since I prefer to drink whisky neat. I adjusted to drinking Tin Cup on the rocks with 2 cubes & that did help null out the spice somewhat. With a little adjustment I could probably get the spice watered down to where I might like it, but that's too much trouble.

A few Coors Light at last nights show. Coors Light $9.00 for a 16 oz. beer or $11.00 for 12 oz. of some Sierra Nevada beer. Do the math and it makes a lot of sense why I chose Coors.

3 x $11.00 = $33.00 and 36oz.
4 x $9.00 $36.00 and 64 oz.
