what color belt with these trousers and this shirt??

At our fave vintage dealers, hubby Chuck got these two casual pieces, for something vintage to wear (like Cools does for example) when he doesn't want to go the 40s suit with fedora route.

Lt grey linen trousers, and a peach jacquard weave silk short sleeve camp style shirt. What color belt would be best for this look?? He'd most likely wear his panama hat with this. Oh, also what color shoes?

Is the shirt going to be tucked in or left out? If it's left out, belt color won't matter. I'd suggest white bucks with a thin white belt.

Tucked in. Not sure Chuck would want white bucks though as they'd be horrendous to keep looking nice and clean. What about two tone spectators, could they work?

White bucks aren't really that hard to keep clean. You can use a protective spray and if they get dirty you can get a little kit that cleans them off. They are IMHO the most comfortable and sporty shoes to wear in the spring/summer season. Gray linen and peach definitely need a break from the formaility of a pair of spectators.
