What coffee or tea did you drink today?

Maybe it's just an English thing but although there's lots of coffee shops, they don't seem to be able to get their heads round people not wanting to defile a cup of java.

i.e Every time I ask for a black coffee (which is all I drink) - without exception - they ALWAYS ask if I want milk or cream with it! AAargghhh!!!:)

X2 on Peet's Major Dickason's blend. Good stuff and won't break the bank either.

Celestial Seasonings tea and Good Earth green teas are decent to me as well.

I have a nasty cold, so I've been a-slosh in beverages all day for the last few days.

I just now finished a hot cup of Oprah Chai Tea. No bags here. I brew it in the cup.

Picked up a bag of Starbucks Sumatran coffee beans today to break in the new coffee grinder I got yesterday as a late Christmas present. My old grinder took a lay down back in the spring and I had almost forgotten how good a fresh ground cup of coffee was.

It tastes VERY good. :eusa_clap
Okay, so I got this Keurig for my wife as a Christmas gift.
Yeah, I know...hipster alert!!!
In my defense, the only coffee maker at work is a similar model to what I bought, hence the purchase.
Now I have little cups in my briefcase for work, and a drawer to store them in under the coffee maker, as well as an entire shelf in the pantry devoted to 12-18pk boxes of various flavors. :eusa_doh:
Today I bought Cinnabon flavored coffee, and another box of Donut Shop Iced Chocolate Donut flavored coffee (it really does taste and smell like one, and I have no idea how!).
The Cinnabon actually tasted like a cinnamon roll with icing and it smelled like one too.
However, at work I drink the dark roasts (2 a day) such as Donut Shop, and Dark Magic.
It's dark enough if the cup you drink out of, has a brownish stain after one cup of coffee. ;)

I am not a coffee drinker and, until just recently, was not a tea drinker. Now, however, in an effort to curb my soft drink habit, I have started enjoying a cup of tea in the morning and one in the evening and sometimes one during the day. I take it with a spoon of sugar and a bit of cream and I have to say, I've been enjoying it immensely.

So far I've had English breakfast, Earl Grey, and salted caramel.

I have been enjoying an Amazon purchase (since it's not sold in stores in my area): Community Coffee in the Bread Pudding flavor. Apparently this flavor is seasonal only. Delicious!

Last night I was feeling a sore throat coming on so I had a cup of echinacea tea from Neal's Yard Remedies.
This morning it's fresh ground Sumatran coffee (from the Starbucks) again.

I typically hit Starbucks every morning at 05.00 and have a cup of joe while waiting for the downtown Chicago Rock Island train.
I think its Pike's Roast, or some such tag. Maybe grown on Pike's Peak...too early in the morn to ask, but Sumatra and Ethiopian
java I don't have much taste for. Now tomorrow I'll ask and be told PR is Sumatran or Ethiopian joe.
This morning's brew is Folger's Black Silk- on sale and excellent. :coffee:

I'm with you on the Ethiopian, but the Sumatran is one of my favorites. It, and the Cafe Verona. The Pikes is a pretty good basic cup of Joe, I think they just re-named their house blend. I used to be a daily Starbucks visitor myself, because my wife worked there, but these days I enjoy it less often because (a) she no longer does, and (b) since we moved I no longer drive right by one in the mornings. We do buy it to make at home a lot though.

Louisville tea co. white himalayan tea. Add bourbon, honey and lemon and you have a nice toddy. Trying to get rid of a cold or that's excuse!

My favorite coffee has always been straight Mocha from storied Yemen. I first had it roasted by Continental Tea and Spice in Denver. No other purveyor has ever seemed to know how to roast it. Today, I buy the green beans and roast them myself. Green beans, unlike roasted, keep forever. I brew it in a vacuum pot. Since I can't buy either heavy cream or coffee cream where I live I use a mixture of two parts 1/2 & 1/2 and one part whipping cream to bring out the nutty and complicated flavor in an almost perfect way.

Coffee ranges from vile to ambrosial. I take pains to make sure that I drink the latter.

Twinnings Earl Grey loose leaf, steeped 5 minutes with a shot of Old Tom style Gin. There is something refreshing about the Juniper of the Gin and oil of Bergamot. Might be good to sooth that cold gear-guy.

Was served a delicious new-to-me tea at a Downton Abbey themed high tea cooking class I recently attended. I liked it so much I picked up a tin of it. It is called Harney & Sons Tower of London. It has a hint of stone fruit to it, and is so good! (Lily likes it too, with a bit of honey and cream. That's my girl!)

Fortnum & Mason's Earl Grey Tea.

It's expensive compared to Twinings (over 2x the cost) although tastes smoother with no acridity.
It's more expensive than East India Company's Earl Grey Tea which is floral and delicate, working around the nostrils with a very delightful 'I can drink this forever' moment.

But the teal green metal canister is very pretty :)
