Celebrating the Padres making the post season in my San Diego deep heather brown ball cap. Go Padres!!!

I could not find any real pics of this hat anywhere on the internet. The website for Crown Cap has pretty poor quality photos for some of their products. But, made in Canada and for 45 dollars, I took a chance. I was quite happy with the result. It is very thick and warm and easy to shape. The only issues are in some of the small finishes, such as the top seams not meeting the centre of the brim and a back seam is visible. Other than that, for the price, it is an excellent hat. Made from Melton wool on the outside and an 80/20 Cotton to polyester blend for the lining. For my first newsboy/baker boy hat, I think it will be a keeper.

1st cap is a special cap. Congrats on the cap. Your eye to details tells me that other caps will be in our future.

I wore a cap to work. This wool cap has a mesh liner feature that makes this cap work in a huge variety of temps.

I have to stop scrolling every time I get to this photo and the one accompanying it because I REALLY like that cap and jacket combination! Sadly, I seriously doubt they would look as good on me, but on you they're a sharp pairing!

Wearing my Stockbridge waxed cotton Quint cap while taking my folks and my nephew to the museum on Saturday!

Which color did you order? I was looking at their website last night after reading your post and it looked to me like their "brown" might be the closest match to the cap Mr. Shaw wore, but I could be wrong and it could just as easily be their "olive green" or "tan". The color of your cap looks spot on to me.

By the way, since I couldn't decide I ordered one of their indigo denim Mechanic's Cap replicas instead.

WDH caps are well suited for wear. The hard wearing materials and craftmanship make my WDH caps sweet wearing year after year.

Thanks Eric. No unfortunately not any cooler yet. Though it’s been raining very often... when it does it sometimes starts to feel like a fridge in the house. This did the trick.. was comfy and will Come in handy for those two or three cold days we will have later in the year.

Yes Sir, this one. I've always liked the look of the mechanics cap with the brim folded/curled up and I've occasionally tried to achieve that look with ball caps, but they never looked "right" to me because the stiffeners in the brims worked against my shaping efforts. Also, on most of the reproduction A3 caps I've seen over the years the brims looked more like Ernest Hemingway's fishing cap with the elongated brim than the A3's I've seen in photos. Stockbridge's cap doesn't look "to spec", so maybe that's the key for me--it looks more like the "idealized" version of the cap that I see in my mind's eye than the actual cap. Basically this was just one of those "right cap at the right time" purchases.

Recent arrival snap front flat cap camel color. No brand on this one. Not sure of the material.. it is A wool like fabric but could be a polyester mix. Cool liner on this one... I like the shape and feel on this cap.

Got a bit of rain water on the liner while getting the photo
