I've been using this one for a few years, of Mr. Stewart from It's A Wonderful Life (1946), one of my favorite movies.

To me, it represents the epitome of men's fashion, and how I would dress all the time if I could afford bespoke.

The funny thing is, that was an image I found doing a Google search. Created by Jeffro Kilpatrick, it was created to promote/advertise a Philadelphia Cartoonist Society Hobo Day on June 4, 2011. Here's the original artwork:

I made some changes to make it more generic, changed the flat cap to a fedora (though I do have a version with the cap), and made the colors a little more vibrant, and ended up with my current avatar. Compared to some of the members here I dress like a 'Bo, so I thought it was appropriate.

Mine is an image of the perpetually daydreaming Warner Bros. cartoon character "Ralph Phillips" who single handedly saved the earth from attacking Martians who all scored A's in arithmetic. It was chosen because my initials are RP. Then I found out there is a real Ralph Phillips and he's in prison for murdering a few people.
