A thoroughly stupid show, that was very short lived, but, how many of you remember the theme song? It was catchy!

Hawaii Five-O, and I never really watched the show.

It was a big hit for The Ventures back in the day, so a lot of people who like the song didn't necessarily watch the program. It's a strong instrumental so it isn't tied directly to the show by lyrics, same as the Theme from Peter Gunn or The Rockford Files.

Theme from Here Come The 70's, early electronic music from Syrinx (the original Syrinx)

Song was called Tillicum, here it is complete with girl in bikini.

French version, Vers L'An 2000 (Toward The Year 2000) different vid, shows the band at the end.

"Mar 25, 1971 - "Leisure: Living With the Twenty Hour Week." The age of leisure, so long promised, will bring on a revolution in how we spend our time in the 70's. The choice in the next two decades will include the 22 hour week, 25 weeks vacation every year and retirement by age 28."

What happened!? I want my future back!

Almost FIFTY YEARS LATER! I STILL remember that theme song! NO! I did not just listen to it. One of the other main characters was one of the police officers on "Car 54 Where are You?" I don't know if I could ever pull his name out of that dusty mess I call a memory. However, I think in about twenty minutes I can probably pull out his character's name from Car 54.

You're thinking of Joe E. Ross, who played Officer Gunther Toody on Car 54, and played Gronk on It's About Time. Little-known trivia: His trademark "Oooh! Oooh!" was his way of stalling until he could remember his next line.

Thank you Zombie_61! I just came back here to say that I had pulled the name "Toody" out of that dusty attic as well as his partner's name Muldoon. Although he is a wonderful and prolific character actor, I don't know if I would ever have pulled out Joe E Ross' name without looking it up somewhere.
