...I think it's the proportions between the slim-cut jeans and the bulky upper body with three not-particularly-slim layers. I do think that LuckyStrike's pose, with one arm raised, exaggerates it a bit, as it makes one side of the jacket's skirt flare outward.

Yep, I think you're right - I dressed for vintage shopping in the self-appointed "hip" gentrified part of town - the cardigan was a find that day, so I just put it on instead of carrying it around. (Pic was taken when I got home.) But yes, the upper body came out far too bulky, juxtaposed with the narrow jeans.

Desdinova721 said:
Gotta say though, that the combination of french cuffs/double-breasted blazer is a little too formal for me to be paired with jeans. It's sort of sending contradictory messages, and I don't really know what to make of it. That is a very nice tie, though.
I don't think it looks bad, necessarily, but it is eccentric.

I know - I rather like the look myself - I wear double cuffs haphazardly and casually.

I knew I shouldn't have said that.

Heh, no, spontaneous criticism is what makes this exercise of posting pics of what you wear educational.

Desdinova721 said:
I don't think you were being impolite. I can't speak for Lucky Strike, but I know I was raised to appreciate constructive criticism. Don't beat yourself up.

Yep, absolutely no offense taken. Not one of my better efforts, that. Here's yesterday:

Nice look Dinerman

Hey D,

I love your beautiful collection of hats, but it's nice to see you sans the lid for a day. That's a very sharp haircut. You look good with the sides cleaned up.

Good work!

I really dig that coat Lucky Strike... Whats the make?

Thanks - it's Dunn & Co, my dad's old one. The cloth is West of England.

+1!

Today; nothing new, really, but four different patterns can get to be too much:
