Rats. Following Johanna. I'll feel ignored. :)

Gray flannel trousers, french cuff shirt with vintage red cufflinks, vintage tie, 1943 dated double breasted jacket, leather waistcoat, cordovan wing tips, my favorite over coat, and Art Fawcett lightweight felt. Even at 30 degrees, it's a comfortable hat.

Christmas Eve outfit.

Had to put in a few hours at the shop today. So I thought I'd go a little casual. Merry Christmas.

Scott's and Marty's outfits today are both the bee's knees.

I headed out for errands this Christmas Eve more dressed up than I would usually be on a day off. I guess I wanted to look good amidst the crowds!

J. Peterman light brown windowpane single-vent sportcoat (recent Ebay find)
Taupe cuffed trousers
Enro light blue point collar shirt
XMI bright red patterned tie (some shine to the silk)
Red Christmas pocket square with green holly leaves
Gold collar safety pin (from Broderick.com)
Fossil watch with gold/silver band
Taupe OTC socks
Cole-Haan burgundy "Pinch Buckle" kiltie monkstrap loafers
Tan wool/cashmere single-breasted topcoat
Dark green patterned scarf
Brown leather gloves
Scala brown fedora

Merry Christmas to one and all!

Marty, you're starting to look like a well dressed version of House, MD. Was there a solid last minute Christmas rush at the shop?

Scott, the hat and coat look great. Cheer up! I'm sure Santa will bring you what you want.

Johanna, beautiful as always. That tree cries out for ornaments, though!

A trad, low key Christmas day.

Navy single-breasted ventless blazer with brass buttons
Tommy Hilfiger tan cuffless corduroys (pretty nice, actually)
Blue plaid button-down, open neck
Light blue linen pocket square, puff fold
Vintage trout fly in left lapel (yes, Marty, I'm trying it out. Got a set of vintage flies through Ebay)
Brown belt
6-eyelet LL Bean duck boots
Boot socks
Lorus wristwatch with tan band
Polo eyeglasses with metal frame (instead of my usual contact lenses)
Tan wool/cashmere single-breasted topcoat
Navy patterned scarf
Brown leather gloves
Scala brown fedora

Christmas dinner...

holiday2007004.jpg

-black ventless two button suit with non-pleated trouser
-Brooks Brothers white golf collar with wheat stripe shirt (thanks to AlanC)
-Polo Ralph Lauren 2.25" silk knit tie
-Kent Wang pocket square

Despite much cajoling, Mark didn't wear his suit, which well... suits him perfectly. A shame.

^I like the shirt and tie. Very nice.
Like I said, I have you to thank for directing me to the shirt. :) The tie was another acquisition from TJ Maxx; pretty much like my black one but with a smoother knit around the neck area (if there's a word for that, I can't remember).

Thanks for the compliments, it means a lot coming from someone as well dressed and knowledgeable as you.

scotrace: I like the tweed. Is that a DB or SB? I can't tell whether there's a second lapel hole.

A couple of sharp boys.

Jovan, very crisp and clean look. You look like you could have walked off the set of an early episode of "I Spy".

Scott, great ensemble. I love your Tattersal Shirt and Moleskin vest combo. Now the real question is: were you wearing suede kicks with that great outfit?
