I like your summer style HBK!
Would love to see a boater added!
I took coffee with some pals, here I am wearing a new window pane flanel suit (with fantastic DB waistcoat), and my Akubra homburg;

My friend's ridiculously adorable pup fit right in my hat!

Suit is recent, but captures how modern designs are aping twenties cuts. Thus, doing my best Jimmy Walker today - playing with a cooler, tonal palette.

HBK well it was worth a shot. :D
fiftyforfifty Cheers! Thats a Peter Jackson Orange label. I'll grab a photo of the DB waistcoat soon!
On the subject, this is an outfit I assembled tonight in anticipation of summer. This is probably my most authentic 1920s-inspired uniform. Tall collar, three-piece, boater and some glorious purple. :)

i was in Rye, East Sussex yesterday and there was a vintage boater in the window of a shop. it was the very low crown type as made famous by Buster Keaton (approx 2" crown).
i would have tried it on just in case, but the shop was shut !

Great suit PAtrick - fits you perfect and the shirt and tie combo is also beautiful. Would've personally chosen boots with less of a sole as its seems too big for the suit (proportions) but I am one that detests large, welted soles so I may be an exception. Well cool regardless (and a great sincere smile always helps too)

Thanks gents! HBK, Metatron, suitsupply indeed. It's their madison model - this suit is in a mohair/linen/silk/wool blend that is amazing for summer heat. Only complaint is that the fabric is so light, the trousers don't drape very well.

Claudio, you are correct - brown balmorals on a sleek last would probably look better than those chunky double-soled Alden short wings. Will consider that next time I wear it.

Today, I am wearing one of the 11 thrift store ties I got yesterday. This tie is made by Van Heusen, and is part of the Custom Collection. I am guessing it's from the late 1950s, or the 1960s. This tie is 51" Long, and 2" Wide. Now all I need is a 2" wide tie bar. :D
