Well they're excellent, the folks in your neck of the woods are obviously better heeled than they are in mine,

Pardon the lighting, but I'm wearing a modern Jos A Bank suit with a tab collar shirt I got at the mall and, most importantly, a 40s bold look tie I bought at a local antique store.

Lovely tie. Not likeing the grey with the brown (?) trousers and if that sleeve were an inch shorter and add a white pocket square, it would look tops.

This has been previously said, but you are so lucky to have hair (!) you should get it trimmed down man, just a matter of sides & back and expensive barber not necessary. Go to your local grandpa barber and spend the 15$ for a quick trim. He'll know how to do it and would make such a big difference. Just saying as it would so much improve your overall appearance seeing the style you go for.

The three coats are (from the top):

Belted and double breasted camel-hair overcoat. Made in the UK for a store in Bermuda. Probably 1950s/60s
Double Breasted 'King Coat' from Harrods. My guess would be fortes or fifties.
'British Warm' overcoat by Dunn and Co. Probably 1970s.

There were a couple of posh boutiques in Bermuda that offered top UK made items and a few still come up on eBay dating mainly 40s/50s. Of course the Edward P of W lived there in exile during the War when he was not blackmarketeering or cruising Palm Beach or his tailors in NYC. The nature of the clothes makes me think they were imported to sell to the tourist US crowd rather than local yokels. But saying that there was a society element to Bermuda.

Qantas used to fly there on its Fiesta route in the 60s/70s and had a basing situated thereon. One of the guys I worked with later had been a Bobbie on Bermuda and got the idea to join QF. Years later he was in Bali by the pool going joke for joke with Michael Crawford. Side splitting and aching stomachs I'm told.

Worked out well. The wing collar shirt is a nice touch, and I like the tie.

That looks good. I like wing collar shirts worn with regular ties. You hardly ever see anyone wearing that, it's mostly with bow ties. It does look very 1910s. I would say that decade was the last that look was very popular, though. It seems that by the 1920s, it was very conservative and old fashioned, even then.

Is there a way to get a shirt like that, 100% cotton, and below the price range of fifty dollars?

I had to attend a funeral today and it's a bit cold out, so an overcoat and scarf was in order. One bad thing about being retired (damn, did I say "bad thing"?) is not having an opportunity to wear a coat and tie with an overcoat and scarf to work most every day in the winter. Now, it's Sundays and special occasions. The rest of the time it's usually bib overalls and an old barn coat.
