Another double breasted overcoat today:

winter-camel-coat.jpg

It's a camel hair coat made in the UK for a department store in Bermuda (maybe 40s or 50s); Meakers of Piccadilly tie; modern waistcoat by David Saxby; scarf by Tootal; flannel shirt by Darcy Clothing (formerly Vintage Shirt Company)

Cats Meow

I've been wearing this practically every day since the weekend, (I had to pack light!) and I must say I had some lovely comments!

If this is the same outfit you wore about two weeks ago then I'll say it again , "you are the cat's meow " with that suit ,it fits you well and flatters your form , Hats off to you.

Gorgeous suit and ensemble Miss Tuppence! It looks a bit like my fiance's new tweed suit that I just got her for Christmas! Awesome and you wear it so well! I especially love the darted pleated gore in the front, the Awesome beret with bow, and the Absolutely Amazing Gloves! I'm thinking of picking up this pair of saffron yellow suede gloves with selvedge buttons and bows for my sweetie in a couple of days, and maybe the raspberry ones too, to go with her new suit....Not sure. But LOVE the look!

What I wore to the office this morning. Restroom before my employees arrived....Hahahaa! Quiet time!

John David Gold Label Beaver 20, John Varvatos 3 button single vented peaked lapel ink coloured sport-coat in hop-sack 100% wool, 100% wool flannel trousers, suspenders (buttoned on), Oxford blue Stafford Executive slim fit dress shirt, wine coloured "Happy Socks" caramel tan closed laced cap toes, and one of my favourite new ties in maroon with powder blue Glenn-plaid over ecru, and a burgundy edged ivory silk pocket scarf. Oh, and all antique Art Deco Jewelry!

Hi Miss Tuppence! I just remembered; somewhere I've got a photograph of my grandmother and my mother's godmother back in the very late 1930s or early 1940s floating around....My grandmother's wearing a suit that is very similar to yours in your photo there! I think her friend may be wearing something similar as well, but with cow-boy boots (it was taken in New Mexico).

You people have ruined me for life since I joined this forum! I dug out an old Giorgio Armani shirt, tie, and pinstripe suit I serenaded my wife with years ago and topped it off with a Borsalino Hat. I thought I threw that stuff away years ago. My wife has been sunning herself in Florida for a couple of weeks and I am picking her up at the airport wearing this stuff. I will be surprised if she recognizes me. I am not giving up my Tony Lama cowboy boots though. Also sporting a very old break open pocket 32 and a modern Frank Beltrame stag handle flat button Swing guard toothpick.
