To be brutally honest, I don't take the time and effort to snap and post photos of my own collection because the level of Loungers' interest in such things is dwindling by the day.

You should have seen what a thriving place this section was from 2004 to 2008. The inevitable growth of the Lounge and the rotten economy have had a hand in diminishing its levels of quantity and quality.

Call me an excessive optimist (guilty as charged! ), but it seems the scene's not gone, just changed a little, and with some different faces. Please do post more, Nick D., for the class you add to the thread, and for that smashing 'stache of yours. And Marc too, I'm always so inspired by those who have true vintage clothing to post pictures of. Do share, we can all use more sharp images to draw motivation from.

I have a couple pictures of my humble efforts and thrifted joys over the past few months... I'll try to live up to my own words and share once I find them.

the past 2 months in sporadic outfit pictures

Relaxed with some light blues.

Trying to fit a tie to the Stefeno Oakland in Whiskey color. I guess the gold is pretty complimentary.

My favorite outfit of this photo set, and a good look at my vintage-inspired dorm.

Thrift treasures! A new tie and an olive peaked-lapel suit from Israel. Fit me like a tailored glove.

The thrift discoveries kept coming back in mid-October. This three-piece was tailored for the very same small town in which I attend college! I love finds like that, and brass buttons are a big plus.

Continuing the local theme, this '50s suit was tailored for the original Hess's department store in Allentown. I knew I had to get this, since I worked this past summer on the very site where the Hess's building stood.

And yes, there is a trolley car hiding in my room back at the ol' family home. Hey, streetcars are where sustainability and swing-era meet... no wonder I love 'em.

I always enjoy seeing pictures of 30s suits. I would love to wear them myself if I had the time or resources. I work In a warehouse and get very dusty and filthy so most of my clothes are work clothes. I have one partial vintage suit (pants and a vest) and some ties. Please don't stop posting pics just because the interest is not there. It will always be there.

This was my outfit on Thursday. Vintage jacket, moleskin shirt, paisley silk scarf, brown denim trousers (cut to a 1930s pattern):

This was Friday (for a day of rooting around in junk shops): vintage jacket, made to measure tab collar shirt, vintage tie, brown cotton trousers.

Thank you, all! Florian, I originally wasn't interested in plus fours, but after seeing some pictures of Floungers in them, and seeing catalogue scans with them I liked, they started to grow on me. That also coincided with my interests moving more to the 30s. Sproily, I got the fabric from the city market, there's a fabric merchant there that always finds nice cloth and keeps an eye out for things I'm looking for.

I would second the others, there are still some of us who either appreciate good vintage suits, and/or given the limitations of our size are willing to buy them when we find them.

When I get back in country I'll post some more photos of that Anderson and Shepard 1950s 3 piece I just got...
