Studying in the park (this picture was taken right after we sat down, books & laptops came out of our bags after that. really ;) ). Not exactly Vintage, but it's the first time in ages I've worn curls & my beloved Freddies so I thought I'd share. :)
(by the way: hi! )

From yesterday at the Tartan Day event at the historic Ardenwood Farm in Fremont

The weather was just perfect for classic highland daywear

Got them several years ago at Walmart. They're 'George' brand.

Ahh...I believe I saw the same pair listed somewhere in the archives of the board. I did a search for George brand trousers a week or so ago and I don't believe they are available anymore....a damn shame if you ask me. If anyone has any leads or a correction on this, please let me know!

Many thanks

Worn this afternoon to the CA Pops Orchestra's "Tribute to the Big Bands" concert in Los Gatos: my vintage 40s black rayon crepe fitted l/s dress with waistline set-in detailing and halo buttons down the back to the waist. Dress has a large multi-colored floral fabric piece appliqued onto the left front bodice area. Black vintage 40s pumps, and vintage 40s goldtone metal floral clip earrings. Vintage inspired Miriam Haskell pearl and bead necklace.

My teenage daughter wore her vintage 40's solid cream colored rayon s/s dress that has 33 self covered buttons down the front, with my taupe lace-up vintage 40s pumps.

We had our pictures taken in front of a 1941 Buick Roadmaster Phaeton convertible that an concert attendee drove to the show! I need to get an USB cord that connects the digital camera to my laptop and then I can try to post a picture.

All my "dress" pants I wear to the office-4-5 of them-are this brand bought in the past year and am sure Wallyworld still sells them. Nice soft fabric, cuffed, (looks great), bought for a song-about $19 per. Earl

Looking good there! I have tried to get a few of my British motorcycle club members to buy some Kilts so we can enter the Coffin race this year! Seems like appropriate formal wear for such an occasion. Besides, we can always wear Triumph Tartan!

Over the weekend the wife and I had a chance to go out for the evening.
My wife may kill me for posting this one. I really like the pic of her but we had just finished dinner and she had not reapplied her lipstick.

As a parent it's really nice to have a night out from time to time.

Not the best picture, but it's a workwear kind of day 'round here. Royal Stetson, Penney's Army Twill shirt, Levi 501's, WWII Service Shoes.
