Finally, I got a picture of myself worth posting.

And worth it is. Succesfully combining four patterns is not a mean task, and you have done it smoothly, for my taste. :eusa_clap

Gene, great casual combo!

Lostinperiphery, I like the general look. Besides what has been already mentioned, in my opinion, a hat like that of yours, with less than 2'' brim, would look better with a narrower tie. Not too skinny, or the balance with lapels would not be right, neither. There are plenty of 60's ties out there that would be a nice choice.

(Yes, definitely I should have those braces cut down. As they are now, the adjusting clips end in too high a position.)

^Funny, and sadly I can see it.

Thanks. The shoes are Edward Green for Neiman Marcus, ca. 1980s. I bought from a guy on Style Forum awhile back. I'm sure he probably thrifted them.

Been having that late 1950s Continental vibe lately, watching too much Hitchcock I guess...
1950s Royal Stetson I just got in, its the first smaller brim hat I actually like on myself. 1950s British suit by Burton, and my favorite late 1950s early 1960s skinny tie.

Went to a vintage theme party. I think my getup worked very well. I'm not normally a suit person, but I really like to wear them on special occasions :)

Stetson Royal. Mid/dark gray. A tad big but very beautiful.
Tressori (Italian brand I believe) DB fine 150s wool suit. Charcoal. Modern make, but very classic in the cut and style.
Burberry striped tie. Various fall inspired colors (Brown, orange, etc.) in a striped pattern.
