Yep, Richard, Oldhamii it is. I have to keep chopping off most of the new shoots when they surface to keep them from overrunning the paths and my hammock! Turns out, those shoots are edible. Hmmm,... Might have to try that someday. :)

It's my 'Western Wednesday'. Cheap Mexican Shantung cowboy hat, vintage (label's long gone though) crepe rayon aloha shirt, J. Chisholm handmade rattlesnake boots. :)

Me with my new kilt, tweed casual jacket, and cromach (though same old battered but beloved balmoral cap to top off the outfit :) )

I am ready for some nice Fall weather

Cheers

Jamie

Any more detail on that jacket? Looks like a tweed A1..... really nice. Superb casual look with the kilt, which is tricky to pull off.

Unfortunately, it was much too hot out to wear stockings.

Hahaha!! Glad you like the outfit. Frankly I think I should've worn a tie with it as well. It looked a bit lacking.

And yes, an avid Holmesian here.

I agree. The outfits you wear are great but I often think that the tie is missing. Do you dislike wearing them?

Hi Anton!

No, I don't dislike wearing ties. Hell, I'd probably wear one all the time, but sometimes I wonder if that's a *BIT* too formal. You know what I mean? But then you're talking to someone who hasn't worn a wristwatch in three years, so what do I know...? :D

I suppose I could take up wearing them again. I wore them all throughout school (we had to, as part of our uniform. Foul weather, goiter or a sore throat were not excuses for failing to wear a tie). I suppose it's kind of ingrained in me, I just wonder if it's overdoing it, that's all.

And yes, I can actually tie a tie, if that's your next question! I use a four-in-hand knot.

Edward,

The jacket was a $15 thrift store find and unfortunately had no tags at all. Due to its condition I am certain that it is a modern jacket not vintage. One interesting feature it has is that it is reversable. One side is in Glenurquart tweed with pouch pockets and the other is a light tan with slash pockets.

I have been looking for a casual kilt jacket for some time and I was very happy to run across this one that was the right length as is.

Cheers

Jamie
