Mrs Badger and I just spent a lovely long weekend in Paris – I'd been invited to DJ at a Tiki bar by an old friend... tried taking a 'capsule' wardrobe – based around my 1950s Oakbrook fleck suit, black Stacy Adams 'Madison' boots, 1940s Crombie overcoat and Jaxon 'Big Apple' cap – and it worked out pretty well! Wore a 1950s heavy gab loop collar shirt on the Friday, when actually DJing, and a nice thin wool polo neck sweater for the rest of the weekend...

Here's me on the right with a coupla good friends, having a very civilised blather and beer in a nice little bar on Sunday afternoon, following a trawl through a flea market with our wives...

They'd just built the DJ booth and only left a 12" gap down the side for access! Had to really suck my tum in to get in and out! :D

I realized I haven't posted in a while, so beware, this is picture heavy.
Here are some new knits that I haven't had the chance to wear much yet: a 30's style cape and a 20's sports cardigan & matching hat.

These below have been favourite staples this winter and early spring: a 50's fur coat, a knit ensemble with "military"details from a 1937 pattern, and 20's style, deco coloured outfit.

:D Yeah, I feel naked without it! Really wanted to wear a fedora to Paris but the weather forecast said rain on three days, so had to wear a Big apple cap yet again – shame, it didn't actually rain all the time we were there!

It's not the rain you have to watch for, it's that wind off the Seine that comes with it!!

You look smashing! I was wondering about the knitwear, did you make that yourself? Yesterday I printed out about 50 pages of vintage knit-patterns for my girlfriend... so whenever I see knits I think of the art and craft of knitting (I was an industrial knitter myself in a previous life ..)
