Before I discovered this excellent group I used to dress like everyone else when going into town. Post discovery I tend to dress a wee bit better (I like to think so anyways)

My wife and children laugh at the way I dress now because they tell me that no-one else dresses this way . But I like it!

Yes, Highwayman that I ordered last year and I really like it. I'm thinking about ordering this nice piece for next winter :

I've long been tempted by one of those too, though I don't know that I'd get the wear out of it.... I do eventually want to get a regular Barnstormer in brown, but about 18" or so longer in the body... I bought my first Highwayman a couple of months ago (an Apprentice Made model in steer). I don't feel it lends itself to collar and tie wear like my beloved Thirties Halfbelt and Bootlegger, but it's a wonderful jacket to throw on with a pair of jeans if I'm doing the rockabilly thing... I'm also giving serious consideration to one of the shearling lined Highywaymen for next Winter.... I have a B3 and an Irvin already, both of which get a lot of wear in Winter. I'd also love an ANJ4, but the idea of a jacket in a similar vein except black has a very strong appeal.... I'm thinking shearling lined, black FQHH Highywayman with a black mouton collar, throat latch and G1 style pockets....

My wife took me out for a nice dinner last night. In front of the Hawaii Theatre:

New Sheridan Club Summer Party last night, under the theme of "Jubilee". I went vintage, but a good twenty five to thirty years plus in the future from what I normally wear...

This is today, channelling author Terry Pratchett via the medium of wearing the first things that fell out of the wardrobe this morning. Didn't even realise I'd donned a fedora rather than the more customary (with this jacket) newsboy until I hit the lift on the way out...:

Sunday night just past, I slobbed out very casually. I was off to the theatre (real theatre, not cinema) with a friend to see Rock of Ages again, and thought I'd blend in. Unfortunately I was a good approaching forty years too late for that...

Rather a long shirt that is designed to be worn out (ideal for casual rockabilly jive), but needs tucked up and in when that jacket is closed... Always amusing wearing braces under a shirt like this. Feels like I'm wearing a bra!

Finally, some shots of Saturday night past, at an annual birthday party event hosted jointly by three chums who have birthdays within days of each other:

Haha, I have a very similar t-shirt. Got it when I saw Sex Pistols a few years ago. And when I always hear 'Jubilee' I think of a band from LA I used to know by that name. Wonderful bunch of guys and brilliant musicians. You should check them out!

Anyway, here's me today, work ladies room edition:

Not my usual style, but I realised this morning I've gained 8 kilos since Nov so I'm limited to the few items that still fit me. :(

Fab Atomic jacket Edward!

Thanks! A recent eBay find, for very little! Small tear in the half-lining (which I might have made - I'm not sure), but otherwise grand. Been enjoying wearing it out a lot recently.

Thanks. Heh, yeah... was that back in 2007? I first saw them at their own Silver Jubilee in 2002 (I had tickets for Belfast way back in 96 when they first reformed, but that gig got cancelled :( ), then twice in 2007 during the run of shows they did in Brixton for the 30th anniversary of the album (the touts thought they'd make a killing on that run.... it backfired, and I scored tickets for two shows on Ebay for less than the cost of one at face price. Result!). I'm pretty sure I was actually at the show that was released as the DVD There'll always be an England.

Anyway, here's me today, work ladies room edition:
