It's a detachable collar. I bought 25 from the last remaining stock of a U.S. company that made them from the 1862 to 2008. I reckon that 25 should be be enough for one man's lifetime.

Information about the company (before it closed down):

"Our Company is in a third generation of continuous production. It began in 1862 as the Reversible Collar Company of Cambridge Massachusetts, then, while still in Massachusetts, becoming the Gibson Lee Collar Company. The company is now located in Davenport, Iowa as Amazon Drygoods Collars and Cuffs. We own the original Reversible Collar Company's cast iron presses and continue to manufacture most of our collars on those very same presses as they did in the 1860's. Each collar is crafted one at a time to the historically original standards and 100% cotton laminated linene material. If you are in our town please stop in to see our unique piece of history punching out your collars in our work shop. The only other collar press we know still to exist is on display in the Smithsonian Institute in Washington D.C."

Thanks Cherry Lips, you are too kind!

Katue - Thank you. I set my hair everynight with sponge rollers, but I do not have a particular setting pattern.
The following morning I brush it out on the top, and then from the inside, and use hairspray.

Miss Tuppence - Thanks my dear. Btw, I love your new avatar!

@ Marc Chevalier - you look very neat on the picture! My compliments!

Something about the flag behind you makes you look like a President dressed for success (that is supposed to be a compliment :p). The other guy also looks quite suave too, if a bit casual next to you.

Also, would you object to my using this picture for my blog (in an entry about how politicians should dress)? I quite understand if you don't want to be associated with such a contraversial blog.
