Never posted in here before, but taking at look at the previous posts, everyone looks so smart and dapper! Not so much what I was wearing today, but I donned a new (to me!) late 40's mogashal dress in the cute spot print, and white wedges for a 1940s dance I went to last week. Unfortuantely I didn't get any full length pictures, but here one of the print.

Nice outfit TTO. Any details on the jacket? Is it vintage or new?

Oh I like that tie! And your spotted socks!

I can't believe your tailor let you leave his shop with uneven hems. You might want to look for a new guy.

This is five kinds of fantastic. Each element is great individually, but the sum is well beyond the parts.

Yeah, but ain't the socks and shoes nice?

Thanks everyone, glad you liked it!
The Sports coat is a rather wonderful modern piece from Ralph Lauren Purple label, pleated patch pockets, pleated and belted back great heavy weight linen, a really vintage feel and cut! I wish more vintage stuff fit me but I'm a fairly big guy, there where not to many folks back in the day at 6'4" to leave their stuff behind for me!
I hemmed the trousers myself, so I only have myself to blame there ;)
The tie is a great point ended knit from Howard Yount, i would buy more but the UK post office charged me a fortune in 'administrative fees' for the few pounds tax I needed to pay! The socks where from H & M I think and the black suede oxfords are from Charles Tyrwhitt.
Thanks again for the interest.

I'm afraid it's not too warm. I wish it was, but the last couple of days were rather cold and rainy here. Tomorow, on the other hand, the weather is supposed to get really hot, around 32°.

I bought the shoes off Ebay UK. They are made by Loake (brown/cream).

Hi all,

I'm wearing this 1950s dress today, though with different shoes. It's one of my favourite day dresses; deadstock with the tags still on it (at the time of purchase).
