Inspired by Torpedo's great look...

Broke out my DB jacket and my Stetson Open Road...where's a good country club when you need one?

Nice! Offer me that right arm of yours WG to place my gloved left hand upon, as I'd have just the gown (pick a color!) or dressy dress for wearing to that country club, and I can dance too! A lovely foxtrot perhaps? Another excellent look on you Sir, even if you are copycatting Torpedo a bit... sending an appreciative 'meow' to you both!

Gosh, I love it when a man is secure enough in his own masculinity and has the innate or learned fashion sense to be bold enough wear a pink dress shirt.

Last weekend, Harris tweed jacket, tweed waistcoat, wool tie, CC41 marked collar, 50s trousers, Loake shoes, and one little boy who really likes Daddy's hat.

NickD, WOW you look gorgeous!! Great to see your son is enamoured with Fedoras and other classy hats right from the get go- I'm sure he's inherited your wonderful fashion sense and love of elegant classic clothing! Have you sewn any clothes for this wee little man of yours yet, has his talented Mum smocked him any shirts or made him any jon-jon suits?

Thanks  Yes, we've made him several things, and bought him several little vintage baby outfits and kids suits. But he's grown out of what he was in, and not yet into what we still have for him! I need to get to work on some more things for him. He's also got a children's Stratoliner and a Dunn & Co newsboy cap for when he's 6 or 7.

Thanks for noticing Carey! As my favorite actor/role model once said "It takes 500 small details to add up to one favorable impression." Cary Grant

And how about we shake up those stodgy clubbers with a round of "collegiate shag" (I hope the younger forum member realize I'm referring to a dance)

Okay, I'm game for it WG, but only if we get to knock them off their chairs with seeing us dance to a Rhumba first and then a Bolero or Nightclub Two Step next...;)

EXACTLY!!!!! (that's the youtube video that got me going on it) They look like they're floating on air...if there's one thing I want to do before they put me out to pasture, it's that!

Can we add a little "Slew Footin' too?? Looks like a boatload of fun. Dig those one arm pivot turns starting at 2:38... "Yeah, baby, that's it."

Hello,

Today's outfit has a definite sports "field" or "country" mood, I feel.

Jacket is a 60's safari style; woven ties go well with such, in this case it is a Native American Los Wigwam Weavers, made in Denver. I worn a vintage fedora at first, and switched later on to a modern newsboy cap because of adverse winds :D .

My flower's head had already disappeared into The Mysterion Of The Unknown, but I didn't mind. Much.

Hey, isn't the guy dancing with Leslie Caron(0:44) the actor who played Tony in the movie version of West Side Story? I think I also spied Lloyd Bridges in a white Tux as well. Never saw this one before...fun!

Nope, that was Richard Beymer in WSS. Where did you see Lloyd?? I'd be really surprised if he is in this musical...

(pssst WG, we're gonna get busted for hijacking this thread, so no more, okay?)
