This is lovely. You are one of a small group of Loungers who stand out for excellent photographic contributions. :eusa_clap

What's the hat? Is it a felt (looks to be.... Akubra?) I love the look of a fur felt with an eloha, just a shame that normally by the time it's warm enough for me to think of the shirt, it's too warm for fur felt! Maybe I should get myself another Akubra in a vented, bush-style (something like my Safariised Riverina, but in a grey colour to worth better with blacks / blues...).

Thanks for the nice words, Ed. The hat is a custom made felt Lord Cavendish. I live in a temperate zone that rarely sees temps over 75 degrees. In other words, no sweat. This hat loves to play nice with all of my Alohas and has fastly become my Signature Hat for the Summer. Lucky me...

Yesterday in Bournemouth, wearing my "new" hat, assumed by seller to be 20's/30's, I can't really say myself, what do you think?

My, my. You have got to be one of the most fabulous Dollfaced Dames on these fine boards. I thank you for taking pity upon us poor saps by gracing same said boards with such beauty and style that is at once intoxicating and timeless.

Looks great.... if ever I have the cash to go custom, I'd be inclined to have a couple of fur felts run up, one in this colour, one in grey, vented and the works. Basically, something close to an Akubra bush hat, but with the look of a city fedora... The colour is great.

That hat is what is referred to as a semi-calado meaning the straw has been woven in a fretwork design (calado) for ventilation purposes.
