Everybody has praised this outfit and for good reasons, it's fantastic. I just wanted to add how great you look with the hat, I think it suits you perfectly, would never take it off ;)

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Its been a busy and stressful holiday season for our family, so I haven't posted much at all in weeks. Though I have checked in on y'all on this thread almost every day.

Here we are at a NYEve Waltz dance in Berkeley last night. The suggested attire was "elegant evening"... This was a nice way to finish out the year.

I think in the head shot of myself, that one can see all the stress of the difficult last year in my face (I did have a deco gal I knew that actually came up to me at the dance and said something to just that affect, asking how I was doing), but hey its my face right now at this place in my life...

Chanteuse, great shots of the family. It is so rare to see the entire family involved and dress to a "T" as usual. It's great to see our past being lived through family projects and you should be proud of both your children. Make them proud you as well. The influence of you and your husband will remain forever through them. Wonderfull!

Hi Gang,

Long time looking at (and admiring) everyone and now have finally gotten around to adding a little. Overcast, cold winter day here in Maryland... and nothing beats the winter blues better than just making yourself go for a hike. Went to Susquehanna State Park and hiked for about 3 hours and tried to get a few images of deer but no luck.

Pretty basic but has a few gems and improving:
Random dress shirt, Eastman tie and gloves, 1930s French Army issue glasses (from a friend in France), 1950s-70s(?) Pendleton duck hunting coat (which is REALLY roomy and warm), random khakis and my new 16" custom Farmer-Ranchers from Whites Boots. I justify the cost in that they're for hiking, bird and deer stalking and motorcycling!

Cool old stone wall bordering old fields

Neat old truck

Traces of deer but never found them...

And mastering the timer-function...

Now to get some good breeches and I'll be ready !! Happy New Year!!!

New Years Ride

Finally a photo of me! I think the photographer got my best side! It was our annual Colorado New Years ride. I went mostly vintage, Barbour International wax jacket, 501 jeans, motor officer boots, and a six foot white nit scarf. It was way to cold for my Pudding Bowl helmet, so had to go modern!

Nice! What's the story on that shirt? ..is that a Deckard designed shirt?
Sort of. It's from MyTailor, but requested with the "Deckard collar" (there's a thread somewhere, in this forum I think, about it). I dunno how true to his specs they remained (I suspect some of the house style has crept into the collar) but I'm overall happy enough. Will be making a couple changes the next time around, but this was a good enough start, I think.

Really? How did you get the fit right? Did you just get your regular shirt measurements or did you go in and get fitted? How much did it run you? What was the turn around time?

Joe comes 'round to Portland three or four times a year, so I went in to get fitted. On that count, I must say that he did an excellent job overall. I got two shirts at about $80 apiece and they showed up in eight weeks, almost on the dot.
