Wearing my No-makeup-face here, was running late and didn't get the chance to put any on this morning! My hair is all pulled back off my face with a big clip and a few bobby pins, I call this my "ballerina hair".

Carey, if I'm not mistaken, you've been looking younger in your pics... is your love of vintage aging you backwards? Decidedly not a vintage look for church, but I must say, you look beautiful. Belated birthday wishes to you for a year of wonderful vintage joy. (It's okay to keep that b-day celebration going for at least a week or two!)

Thank you Lily P! Maybe it is... I think I've perhaps found my best look in vintage clothing styles! It must be that the vintage events I can wear them to and the such good people I've met in vintage circles (and here too) are keeping me young.

Then I must need to celebrate for at least a few more days! We went to a big band dance at the Officer's Club at the Presidio in SF on my birthday evening. My husband Chuck made me a yummy cake that we brought there to share with folks. Lots of great music for dancing from a wonderful band, in a very nice vintage setting. The day before on the 26th, we went to a free concert at SJSU and saw jazz great Dame Cleo Laine!
