Ralph Lauren today, vintage-inspired??

Here's the outfit for today. First time posing somewhere in the house besides in front of a white door. The second pic is the same shot, but with different cropping.

Black & white cotton jacket, white high waist linen trousers, both from Ralph Lauren. Hat bought many years ago from J. Peterman Co. Vintage black corde' purse, new Miriam Haskell pearl cuff. Red accents with this look; Michael Kors patent belt, Nordstrom pumps, Sorelli bracelet, favorite pearl and ruby earrings bought at the gift shop at Galleria Borghese, Roma in 2000. The rose in my lapel is Rosa. "Showbiz", plucked this morning from our front gardens.

.. Or some Swedes (via DK) just want to know how to get soft lips. See I myself was wondering about what 'gubbigt' mens fashion meant and found this article. Interesting.

Gutshot - nice look!! I really want your hat

Since it was such warm weather, I changed into my favorite nautical summer dress after work.

Oh my! ChanteuseCarey, this outfit is superb, absolutely fantastic. I love the red accents and your fireplace makes an absolutely perfect backdrop for this photograph.

Gubbigt, from Gubbe.
Gubbe, Gubben, Gubbar.

Come on, Gumman, you live in Sweden.

It's funny, I was thinking Gulligt. It didn't quite seem to work.

I wonder if he knows.

Regards,

Gubben.

hahaa, I know what gubbe means, I was just interested in the slang meaning of gubbigt! It is quite a fun word to say out loud btw.. so is gumman, I really like that word..

Slim - sorry, since it it a special swedish word, all I could find was a swedish article about it! I guess the closest translation would be 'manly' but it isn't quite enough.

Carter - You look so sharp!!

Gorgeous Carter, but where's that charming smile??

With you in your CK and Jos A Bank ensemble and me in my Ralph Lauren jacket and trousers and my J. Peterman Co. straw, we shoulda hung out together today or at least had tea outdoors in the garden... and had our picture taken together!

I really like this dress but rarely wear it as I always feel that it looks a bit frumpy on me.
It was a bit chilly today so I paired the dress with a blue sweater which matches the blue in the dress just about perfectly. The sweater and the dress came from the same owner and I imagine that she wore them together as well.
No tags or markings on either so I'm not sure of the date.

Wow! Wicked nice!
