I was gifted a huge box of pastries for Artmas (my community's version of Secret Santa where the only requirement is that your gift be homemade) so I've been snacking on them every time I go into my room. Cheese danishes, bear claws, apple turnovers, persimmon pinwheels, croissants, apple walnut and chocolate mini puff pies, pain au chocolate, and parmesan cheese straws! I ate so much last night that I gave myself a stomach ache. What a wonderful gift!

Thank you for asking. She's done a very limited run of things this season vs past years. With our three late-80s/90s parents, we've been so swamped with medical and other issues with them (and, of course, doing our regular work to pay the bills) that we've had to take a very, very low key approach to Christmas this year as the time is just not there.

Sadly that is how it goes. When I was much younger it did not consciously occur to me that as I got older so do my parents and other loved ones. I figured that there would be this period of time wherein I would have life more figured out and it would run more smoothly: how naive I was. I am sorry this has become a part of your world and wish you and yours the best. Hopefully, your Christmas still was a wonderful time.
