These haven't yet made it to any NYC stores I've been in :(, but my girlfriend is in Michigan helping her parents and said she saw these the other day in the supermarket:

Hence, I predict, one day in the near future, I will be snacking on some PB&J Oreos.:)

A bit delayed, but finally tried the PB&J Oreo "special edition." As you can see from the picture below, they created the PB&J by separating the cream into two halves which wasn't a problem as the flavors blended even when biting just a part of the cookie. Overall, they're fine, but nothing special. I'll finish the box, but doubt I'll get them again.

As someone who has tried way too many "special edition" Oreos, I think I'm getting the gestalt of the "special edition" effort: the titillation is the reason, the cookie itself is a gimmick. It's Oreos (but not really, more in a second), we love them (or at least those of us who are playing in the "special edition" games love them) and are willing to give the company a lot of latitude.

Oreo has taken this latitude to create every silly combination possible, but in truth, all of these offshoots miss the essence of Oreos - the wonderful combination of the hard chalky chocolate cookie with the super-sweet white cream that forms a unique Oreo taste. That's the magic / the sine qua non of Oreo - all these other efforts are just sandwich cookies (could be made by anyone) with the Oreo name stamped on for branding.

Haven't had those in years, but now want some. That will be addressed on the next trip to the supermarket. Pizza flavored Goldfish - God I love this country.
Good man. They are quite the treat.

Don't forget to pick up some Russel Stover marshmallow pumpkins! :D

I have several in the house already. After last year's crazy drought, this year they are in almost every store - still, I've stocked up, just in case there's a run on them :).

Super girlfriend just brought these giant chocolate chip sandwich cookies back from one of our favorite bakeries - a nearly 100 year old German bakery that, to be honest, makes all sorts of crazy things like this along side a lot more traditional German and American baked goods:

And so that you can see that they don't skimp on the filling
